Bradie James: Cowboys entitlement is killing them

Dez BryantAP
Longtime Cowboys linebacker Bradie Jamesthinks he knows why the team hasn’t experienced more success despite all the resources available to them.
“I think the entitlement kills us,” James told Jennifer Floyd-Engel of FoxSports.com. “Our alumni, our former greats have made us America’s Team and we reap benefits that we haven’t earned — all the way around, as individuals, as a team. Those guys earned it. We just think we deserve it.”
In the same piece, DeMarcus Ware says the Cowboys lack a “foundation” to go along with all of their talent.
We agree, but only if Ware means the team lacks a consistent vision from the team’s football operations department. (And we doubt he means that.)
The early 90′s Cowboys had entitlement too, and that didn’t slow them down.  They also had a strong-minded coach able to exert his will on the team and more importantly on shaping the roster.
That’s what the Cowboys have mostly lacked the last 15 years, with the exception being the Bill Parcells era.
