I am very week at RB this week since Ray Rice on a bye and will have to use flex as a 3rd WR.
I don't trust Deion Branch as a 3rd WR but may start since I think Wes Welker will have Revis on him the whole game. Other options are to pick-up a WR on waiver wire: Victor Cruz, Titus Young, and Sidney Rice.
Which of these WR do you think has most upside Week 5 and rest of the season?
Wes Welker is still a must start even with Revis. He plays a lot in the slot, and Revis typically doesn't get down in there much, as he stays on the flankers and split ends mostly. Welker should still produce.
I agree branch is a risky play, as he is very unpredictable in this offense.
Manningham will start over Cruz this week. Rice is going to be their #1 option in the passing game, and will have some big weeks, but will be a risky start with T. Jackson at QB. Titus Young is solidified as a #3 and that will not change unless injury, but he still produces some each week. I think Young has a good matchup against a Bears team with a bad pass defense, but, Young is still just a #3 receiver.
So to me, for a pick up it's a toss up between Young and Rice. I personally have Young on my team, and he is my 3-4 receiver.
Leaning towards Rice. Thanks for the answer. I have Bears D but have only been able to play them 2 times this year due to schedule and no chance playing against Detroit.
Options available for rest of year include Tennessee, SF, and Buffalo. I think Tenn might be best choice this week and rest of the year. What do you think?
I have to agree with Tennessee as well. San Fran is going to have some up and down games playing in a crappy NFC West, but Tennessee will be the most consistent play of the three. Buffalo is terrible.
I really like Ben Tate's ability in that Texans offense, but Foster is 100% and looks great. Not to mention Tate is dealing with a nagging groin injury at the moment anyways.
I expect Delone Carter to be the better option of the two at this point, as Addai should be sidelined for at least Week 6. Brown may split carriers with Carter, but he has not showed any explosiveness to this point.
Also, if you are looking for mid to later season production Bernard Scott might be a good option if he is available. Benson's suspension/appeal all got pushed back a 3-4 weeks, so losing Scott could be the starter come crunch time.

No problem Wes.

Is is time to drop Ben Tate? Only been able to play one time when Foster sat out with hamstring. He is now clogging up my bench.
ReplyDeleteI have 6 people on byes next week and I am leaning towards dropping Tate for Delone Carter. Any thoughts?
