I have Fred Davis and Vernon Davis as my TE and going head to head. Which one should I start? Not sure on Fred's health.
One more for you. MJD on a bye. Need a flex spot. Should I take a chance on Stevie Johnson (who normally start) against Jets? Other options are Greg Little or Ben Tate (104 yards in a blowout few weeks back). Normally would hit the waiver wire but my league charges if over 12 transactions and I am already at 13.
Fred Davis was nicked up this week, but he said he is confident that he will play this week against the 49ers.
Vernon Davis is fully healthy and dynamic, but he is just not been involved in that offense as more than a blocker. With the receivers in San Fran getting healthy, Vernon could start getting more single coverage, but until that happens, you probably have to lean towards Fred.
It is a tough match up to choose, because even Davis who seems to be Beck's favorite target, will be shadowed by Willis and Bowman all day. So neither may produce much, but I would lean towards Fred.
Greg Little is starting to get a lot of targets which is encouraging, but I am not a Colt McCoy fan. Ben Tate could have a big week sharing the load in what should be a run dominated 2nd half against Indy, and Stevie gets to play against New York.
I don't like little, I think the Texans defense will make things miserable for the Browns all day. So I would make the choice between Tate and Johnson, and it is always hard to pick a backup over a #1. I would gamble and lean toward Stevie, and hope that they decide to move him inside to the slot to get away from Revis Island.
Tiger,
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing well.
