Damian Williams is extortion viction

An Antioch, Tenn., woman is being charged with extortion in her dealings with Tennessee Titans receiver Damian Williams, according to The Tennessean.

Police told the newspaper that 22-year old Shelley Anne David faces one count of extortion for attempting to coerce Williams into paying her $5,000.

David filed a domestic assault complaint against Williams earlier this month. She then told Williams she wouldn't pursue things further for $5,000. He arranged a meeting with her Monday that was monitored by undercover police officers.

The assault warrant has been canceled due to the circumstances and questions about David's credibility, a police spokesman said.
