As an avid fan and player of Fantasy Football, and a successful one at that, I am always looking for an edge. Whether you are playing in a casual league or a league for cash, you want every available tool at your disposal.
So I spent some time putting together the Per Play Index (PPI) ©2011.
Q: What is the PPI?
A: The PPI is an index to help you find out a players effectiveness on every play that he is the center piece of, and it functions as a player comparison matrix.
Q: How does it work?
A: Basically we take all the plays where said player is the focal point, and run all of the various outcomes of those plays through a formula, and boom, PPI.
Q: How do I use it?
A: Instructions are included in a Read Me file. But essentially you look up the values for the players you want to compare, or just plug the players numbers into the appropriate fields your self, and it does the rest.
Q: What does the PPI mean?
A: It is a tool that will help you evaluate players based on their past effectiveness on each given play. The higher the number, the more fantasy points you can expect them to generate per play. It also will also compute their total values as well.
Q: What doesn't the PPI do?
A: The PPI is a tool, not an absolute indicator of fantasy point generation. It a also has a listing of the Top 50 for each offensive skill position, based on last year standard scoring. It also has two graphs on for each position group, that can me used to do customer comparisons on up to 5 players at once!
