Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III was named the 77th Heisman Trophy winner Saturday night. Griffin III was projected in nearly every straw poll to finish comfortably ahead of Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck who finished second in the balloting.
Plenty of you have agreed with that assessment. In a poll posted Wednesday night, nearly 37 percent of the folks who responded said NFL Magazine got it right by picking Peyton.
Of course, this means that 63 percent disagreed, with more than 50 percent of the pool strongly disagreeing (via their choice of the “hell no” option). But the fact that 37 percent would actually agree with such an outlandish proposition necessarily makes it something less than outlandish.
Voting is by no means closed. Thanks to the miracles of modern technology, we have the ability to paste the poll into this post.

Broncos front office boss John Elway is trying hard to reverse the perception that he’s not a believer in Tim Tebow.
In an interview with Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com, Elway said that he considers himself a Tebow fan and is hoping to see Tebow follow in his footsteps as a star franchise quarterback for the Broncos.
“Do I know where that ceiling is? I hope that ceiling is a mile high,” Elway said. “It’s just hard to predict. I don’t have that answer right now. But there’s nobody more supportive or wants him to be that guy than me.”
