Byron Leftwich Injuries May Leave Pittsburgh With a Third String Quarterback

By: Colin Cook

Maybe those bumblebee jerseys are a way for the Steelers to completely distract their opponents (and fans alike), but Byron Leftwich did little to distract Pittsburgh fans from the fact that 'Big Ben' Roethlisberger will be out for at least two more games.

If you didn't watch the Sunday night game against the Ravens, you didn't see the beating forced upon a second string quarterback, as Leftwich was berrated multiple times, resulting in numerous injuries. So many, in fact, that Leftwich may be unable to play next week! The Steelers have already began working out their last remaining quarterback, Charlie Batch, in preparation to play if Leftwich has to sit out.

Time will tell if the season has now closed for Pittsburgh, or if they will be able to win without their top quarterback like they did early last season.
