New England Patriots tight end Gronkowski celebrates his touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts during their NFL football game in FoxboroughReuters
After breaking his arm on Sunday against the Colts, Rob Gronkowski will have surgery today.
A league source tells PFT that there is currently no timetable for his return, although it is not believed to be a season-ending injury.
Gronkowski had an outstanding game on Sunday, catching all seven of the passes thrown to him, for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Gronkowski has become the first tight end in NFL history to score 10 touchdowns in three consecutive seasons.
Gronkowski suffered the injury with 3:55 remaining in the game while blocking on the extra point that gave the Patriots their final point of a 59-24 win.
