Jerry Jones told Bob Costas over the weekend that Jones the owner would have fired Jones the G.M. by now. After Sunday night’s loss to the Falcons, the Cowboys may have tried to fire both guys.
According to Matt Barrie of NBC 5 in Dallas, “Jerry Jones just pounded [the] locker room door because no one would let him in. It’s the angriest I’ve seen him all year.”
Like him or not, the guy owns the team. He has every right to be in the locker room after the game. So we can understand why he’s mad.
Jones should be more upset about the team’s performance. Since looking like a Super Bowl contender on the first night of the season, the Cowboys have won two and lost five.
That's it? That's not much of an article. Why was he locked out? Was the door jammed or did the team not want him in, or was the coach giving them what for? Need more info.

DeleteAs unlikely as it seems, the best option would be for the Cowboys to actually land Sean Payton at the end of the season. I just can't see it happening, but he is probably one coach that Jerry likes/respects enough to listen to.

ReplyDeleteI would like to know yardage of pass reception of Jason Whitten to Michael Irvin. Maybe Whitten broke Michael's record for passes caught but a lot of his were for 5 and 10 yards. Let's compare the yardage caught not number of passes.

Look at Tony Romo's stats. Tony is not the problem. Dallas needs to think offense in next years free agency and draft. (1) Offensive Line (2) A BIG running back to go along with Murray (3) Wide Reciever....who doesn't get hurt every year (Austin) ...and is not a head case (Bryant).

ReplyDeleteCoach and Romo has to go. The D did their job for the most part, and has been holding their own. It's the offense losing games, and I'm tired of the conservative play calling. They need to run no huddle more often to keep the momentum going, but the play calling sucks. I guess 9 picks in their last two home games might have something to do with the conservative play calling. Looks like another season down the drain.

The Cowboys will only return to their Glory, boy that bring the taste of bile, when Jerry Jones remains at home or in his plush box for the entire season. ReplyDeleteThe Cowboys front office (Jones) needs to get off the idea that you build a super bowl champion in one year. Every year he makes a couple FA moves and expects to have a champion. It takes a lot of work to build a winner not just $$$
