Here is our final edition of Start em Sit em for the season, for those that still have league championships this week.
Willis McGahee - Yes the Chiefs have a good defense, so it doesn't look like a good match up. But I think it will be a good play because I think this is a game that the Broncos can get back to 40-50 carries as a team, because the Chiefs will struggle to score. McGahee should produce this week, even if it takes 25+ carries to do it.
Stevie Johnson - Their season is over, and Stevie Johnson is looking to landing a big contract, so this is his last chance to make a case for big money. Against the Patriots defense he should be able to put up good numbers and help make a case for himself, in Buffalo or elsewhere.
Minnesota Vikings D/ST - Typically when we have seen teams bring in a play off the street, the end result is bad. That is exactly what I expect this week for Josh McKown. A few weeks ago he was coaching high school football. The Metrodome will be a nightmarish place to play for him, and the Vikings defense should feast this weekend.
Philip Rivers - Yeah, it looks like he has a good match up with a bad defense. I just don't trust the players around him. I saw so little effort from some of the offensive players last week, and with their season over I don't expect to see better this week.
Felix Jones - Jones might be a tempting play this weekend if you have some injuries or depth issues, but I don't like the play at all. The Giants front four are really good, but more importantly I just don't like Felix Jones. This guy asks to come to the sideline more than any back in the league. I don't get it, I really don't. I just don't think he loves the game, because if he did he would ask for a breather every 3rd time he touches the ball. Don't trust him to change that when your season is on the line.
Andre Johnson - You probably spent a 2nd or 3rd round pick on him, and got nothing out of him all year. So now it is tempting to not toss a healthy Johnson in the lineup when it's for all the marbles. Don't do it, unless someone like Mike Williams is your other option. Johnson has not been able to display a healthy hamstring yet this year, and you have to realize he has almost zero reps with T.J. Yates. Not to mention Yates has not done anything to impress. This is not the time you want to make a gamble, unless you are a serious underdog this week.
