Could Reggie Wayne and Manning wind up in Miami?

Longtime Indianapolis receiver Reggie Wayne is heading toward free agency having heard nothing from the Colts about whether they want him back, and so the conversations are starting about where Wayne’s landing place could be. Unsurprisingly, the Dolphins appear to be a strong candidate.
Wayne played for the Miami Hurricanes and spends his offseasons in Miami, and Omar Kelly of the Sun-Sentinel reports that Wayne would be open to signing with the Dolphins.

Lions running backs getting healthy

The Lions are hoping for better health from their running backs in 2012 after they got just six games out of the Jahvid Best/Mikel Leshoure tandem during the 2011 season.
All of those games belonged to Best, who missed the rest of the campaign after suffering a concussion against the 49ers. Best had a history of concussions dating back to his college days at Cal and he wasn’t able to do much of anything physically after getting hurt last year. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Best has finally gotten clearance to start working out. Schefter’s source tells him that he would be “shocked” if Best wasn’t able to fully participate in OTAs and training camp.

Citing “several people familiar with the Redskins’ thinking,” the Washington Postreported Wednesday morning that Mike Shanahan’s team will make an aggressive bidto sign quarterback Peyton Manning after he’s released by the Colts.
On SportsCenter Tuesday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter listed the Redskins, along with the Cardinals, Dolphins, and Jets, as the four most “legitimate” suitors for Manning.
