At a time when the Ravens have signed cornerback Lardarius Webb to a long-term deal and, according to G.M. Ozzie Newsome, are possibly heading in that direction with running back Ray Rice, a source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that no progress is being made between the Ravens and quarterback Joe Flacco.
Earlier this week, G.M. Ozzie Newsome said that the team is making progress with Rice, whose rookie contract has expired and who has not signed the franchise tender.  Newsome also said that talks are ongoing with Flacco, but we’re told those talks are going nowhere.

Well, if former Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey is going to sue Warren Sapp, he’d better get in line with the rest of Sapp’s creditors.
Sapp, a likely future Hall of Famer, hasdeclared bankruptcy in Florida, according to TMZ.com.
He has filed under Chapter 7, which will result in full liquidation of his $6.45 million in assets (including a “Large Nude women painting” . . . it’s unclear whether the painting or the women are large) to pay his $6.7 million in debts.

The Cincinnati Bengals continue to bring in new pieces to a team that was an unlikely playoff participant in 2011.
Per a league source, free-agent guard Jacob Bell has agreed to terms on a one-year deal.
Bell fills the roster spot that was created when Nate Livings left Cincinnati for Dallas in the early days of free agency.
Bell spent his first four NFL seasons with the Titans before joining the Rams as a free agent in 2008.
