Peterson's lawyer insists Adrian did nothing meriting arrest

The attorney for Vikings running back Adrian Peterson says the Houston Police Department had no valid reason to arrest Peterson on Saturday, when they arrested him and charged him with resisting arrest, but not with any other offense.
Attorney Rusty Hardin told Mike Florio (who’s filling in on the Dan Patrick Show today) that it’s baffling that Peterson would be charged with resisting arrest when the police still haven’t said what Peterson did to deserve an arrest in the first place.

Demaryius Thomas wished Tebow stayed in Denver

Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomashasn’t been shy about sharing his positive feelings about the departure of Tim Tebowthis offseason.
He made it obvious by saying he wasn’t sad to see Tebow leave and he’s been more subtlewith comments about Peyton Manning’s ability that draw implicit comparisons to what Tebow was able to do on the field. It’s surprising to learn, then, that Thomas actually wishes Tebow was still in Denver.
“Me and Tim, if you look at our stats, we had a great year together,” Thomas said on the NFL Network, via Nate Davis of USA Today. “And I wish he would have stayed around so maybe he could have learned some things from Peyton. But it’s over with now, and we’ve got Peyton on our side, so I’m just looking forward to the season.”
It’s hard to believe that Thomas is actually all that concerned about whether or not Tebow would have learned something from Manning, but it certainly sounds more diplomatic than expressing happiness about his departure. Having said that, there’s not much use in Thomas trying to hide his excitement about the change at quarterback. Manning’s arrival should mean more chances for Thomas and that’s all any wide receiver could ask for.

Details from Josh Gordon's Pro Day

Supplemental draft prospect Josh Gordon wrapped up an impressive individual Pro Dayshowing on Tuesday, running a forty time in the low-4.5s at 6-foot-3, 220 pounds and some change. It didn’t end without a little bit of a scare, though.
Tony Pauline of SI.com and TFY Draft Insider reported that Gordon pulled his quadricep muscle on his second forty-yard dash attempt. According to Rob Rang of CBS Sports, the injury was specifically to Gordon’s left thigh, so he only ended up running the forty once.

Is Josh Gordon overhyped?

As we hear more and more about how many teams are interested in former Baylor receiver Josh Gordon and how high can go in Thursday’s supplemental NFL draft, it’s important to remember the guiding principle of April’s regular NFL draft.
Teams routinely are full of something other than chocolate.
During the regular draft, teams tend to say good things about players they don’t like and bad things about players they do.  So with such a groundswell of good things being said about Gordon, it’s hard not to wonder whether some teams are hoping that someone will use too high of a supplemental pick on Gordon.
